I am happily married and blessed with two children who are both attending school within the local community.
Githurai is an informal settlement on the outskirt of Nairobi with a fast growing population and majority are the young people because of cheap houses.
I have a business which involves selling baby clothes and I started the business to contribute towards meeting family expenses.
When am not working I like taking out my children to swim and also like cooking food for my family. My children also love swimming and going to church.
My business is based in Githurai open market and it involves selling of babies clothes and it has been in operation for more than 5 years.
I buy the baby clothes from Gikomba market in Nairobi in wholesale price then I retail the baby clothes for local residents. I have employed one girl to assist me in selling when I go to bring the stock.
The local residents like my business because I bring new design for children and also sale at affordable price. I intend to increase my stock by introducing baby toys as most of my clients have been requesting for and within the open market their is no one selling the toys thus I want to engage into the business.
My business has been in operation for over 5 years and it involves retailing baby clothes and I have managed to build good customer base with customers. My customers have been requesting for supply of toys but due to limited capital I have always failed them. I have researched around and found out the business is profitable but no one has invested within the local community thus I want to diversify my business by selling quality baby toys thus I kindly request you to support me through funding my loan. The following is my budget for the toy business: girls baby dolls at $ 30, toys cooking accessories at $ 30, toys racing cars at $ 30, toys music instruments at $ 40, small playing balls at $ 20, toys carrying bags at $ 40. Out of the total budget I have $ 40 and kindly request Zidisha lenders to support me with $ 155 so that I can start the toy business. The profit from the business will be used partly to repay the loan while the rest for expand the business. I know I will make it through your support.
