I am single with three children. Last born in class 7. I got my primary education in Kisumu County and joined a high school in the same county. I never proceeded t University due to lack of school fees. I depended on my parents who were doing casual work in my village. Because of the poor background I was brought up in, I was provoked and decided not to remain poor as people I would view my family. Ever since I have worked diligently and remained focused in my business. To raise capital to start my business I was forced to wash clothes for neighbours and tiling their lands. I started by hawking second hand clothes but today by the grace of God I have transformed it to a better shop. I have used part of my profit to educate my son who wants to come a pediatrician when he clears College. I like singing and spending my part time in church singing in the choir.
My business entails selling of all types of cloths like men's wear, ladies wear and children's wear. I also sell shoes among other things. I choose this business since Kenyan people are fashionable and like spending money on designer wear. This business will always be on demand because people cannot live without clothing which is a basic need. I buy my stock in Mombasa where I get minimal cost because I buy in bulk. This has enabled me sell them expensively to my customers. The quality of my clothes, competitive prices and good customer care has made customers to flock my business daily and has contributed much in rising of my profit margin everyday. I pay school fees with part of the profits , reinvest part of the profit to business and meet household needs, the rest is saved for future projects.
I need to improve my business and start a new project of supplying schools with school sweaters. This loan will complement my capital. If given the loan of 100 dollars will be used to buy logos to be printed on the sweaters and the rest 20 dollars will pay the labour. This will help in delivering the school sweaters on time and also increase my profit margin by about 60%. Thank you esteemed Leaders for supporting my project. God Bless you all
