My name is Caroline Adhiambo Adhaya. I am the last born in a family of nine. I went upto college level and did secretarial studies. Besides business, i am also employed as a secretary in university of Nairobi, School of Law kisumu campus. I decided to do business to enable me have extra income to support my family. My goal is to go to greater heights and be a successful business woman. I live in Kisumu and its a place that is still growing and fit for business. I have three children, one girl and two boys. the girl is 13, boy 5 and last born 2yres old. My girl would wish to be a lawyer when she grows up. I love traveling and swimming during part time. I also watch movies and read novels when am relaxed at home
My business is called Lamteck stationery and it was registered in 2012 under Number BN/2012/164698. My main aim for starting this business was to earn extra income for myself to enable me support my family. I chose to deal with stationery because this is one thing i have passion for and i am familiar with it. The business is still small and i planning to grow bigger. Currently, i am supplying stationery to small shops but i have a target to start big in future i.e by trying to secure tenders in other organizations. Last year November i managed to register with youth & women. I believe through doing this i will be able to secure a tender. Currently, i make 15,000/= per month and i believe that with enough capital and more clients, i will grow bigger and become successful
First and foremost my first loan helped me alot. I managed to add more stock and get more clients for supplies. I specifically added more photocopy papers that was in great demand. Most of my clients that have small offices need toners and cartridges. If i get this loan i will focus on the toners and cartridges and see how it goes. I'm sure if this works out well for me then God willing i will be able to expand my shop by end of this year. If i make more profits i will be able to work on more tenders by the end of the year. Zidisha has been of great help to me, i am able to support my kids and foot up some of my bills.
