My name is David Mumo Ndunda, and I am a lawyer and software engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. I grew up in a modest background where education was the greatest investment my family could afford. Through discipline and hard work, I earned a diploma in law and I am currently completing my Bachelor of Laws degree while also training in software engineering.
My journey has not been easy. Balancing school, work, and financial challenges has taught me resilience and creativity. Instead of giving up, I used my skills to build solutions and create opportunities for myself and others.
I am the founder of The Legal Savannah, a platform that aims to make legal services more accessible and affordable to ordinary people. What makes my story unique is the combination of law and technology, which I use to solve real-world problems in my community.
In my free time, I enjoy coding, research, and mentoring others who are interested in law and tech. My goal is to build sustainable solutions that empower people and create lasting impact.
My business, The Legal Savannah, is a digital platform that provides affordable legal services and tools to individuals and businesses. We offer legal document templates, legal research assistance, and connect users to qualified legal professionals when needed.
These services are in high demand because many people in Kenya cannot afford traditional legal fees or do not understand legal processes. By using technology, I am able to simplify access to justice and reduce costs significantly.
I chose this business because I have firsthand experience in both law and technology, and I saw a gap in the market where people needed simpler and more affordable legal solutions.
My main costs include software development, hosting, and marketing, while revenue comes from subscriptions and service fees. Profits are reinvested into improving the platform, expanding features, and supporting my education and daily needs.
I will use the funds to improve and scale my digital platform, The Legal Savannah, which provides affordable legal services and tools to individuals and small businesses. The funds will go towards software development, hosting, and targeted marketing to reach more users.
This project will allow me to serve more clients efficiently by offering automated legal documents, legal guidance, and access to professionals at a lower cost than traditional law firms. As a result, more people in my community will be able to access justice and understand their legal rights.
The growth of this platform will increase my income, enabling me to support my education and meet my daily needs. It will also create future opportunities for collaboration with other legal professionals and developers, contributing to job creation and innovation in my community.
