I am a mature Kenyan lady who is born again. I was born in Chavakali Location Vihiga County in Kenya. I studied at SHITOCHI PRIMARY and Secondary Schools respectively up to form two. This was due to lack of school fees. How ever, i endured hard ships through hard work and perseverance to achieve my important life goals. I did house help duties and saved a substantial amount (166 US dollars) which i later invested in timber work at CHAVAKALI market. The only uniqueness in my home area is that there is scarcity of land and inhabitants delve in small scale farming and businesses. How ever there are those who have already lost hop in their lives but still depend on a few successful ones for support. My children wish to become doctors, a nurse and a pilot. My favorite hobby is listening to gospel music and adventure.
My business deals with the sale of timber (frame and general wood items). My products are very useful and on high demand in this area as most people are engaged in construction of both residential and none residential buildings and therefore i remain the sole provider of their raw materials. The main reason as to why i chose this business was because it has a lot of potential in terms of growth compared to other businesses like grocery and dress making. My main typical costs include the purchase of timber from farmers, trees, and seasoning to make them ready for sale. Also getting licenses to operate my business in this area needs some money. I use my profits to improve my business, sustaining my family and paying school fees for my kids.
If approved i intend to use my loan in the purchase of the following; two tones of timber frames (67 US dollars) transportation from the remote area to my business premisses (22US dollars) and (18US dollars) to get a trading license. After a successful sale of my products, i expect to get a total of 78 US dollars as net profit up from the normal 60US dollars. This will remain important to me and my family as i will enlarge my business and possibly employ two assistants (workers) as a way of giving back to the society. Thanks
