Am married man, my wife is a teacher, am also a high school teacher employed by the Government under Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC). I have a very stable and consistent income and revenues from salary and other economics activities I undertake. Am a graduate from Egerton University Njoro in Nakuru County. Am a protestant, I attend full gospel church, which is situated in my locality. Apart from teaching professional I also engage myself in other economic and social activities toward national building. One year ago I established a business where I specialized in spirits business which is doing so well, I also own a DSTV services which is highly demanded by young people especially at when they watch English [Premier League matches. In my community I engage in sports where I encourage youth to refrain from bad vices such as theft and excessive drinking alcohol. We have also formed table banking groups for the young people to encourage savings among youthful people. I have a big dream which I am confident that I will achieve it to established a big spirit distribution centre in my area with all legal requirement as required by the laws of Kenya pertaining Alcohol Act and the Mututho Bill which has already been gazette .
I operate a wine and spirit business in kihingo centre 21kilometres from Nakuru town. I opened this business one and half years ago. I choose the business when I saw an opened business opportunity. The business opportunity was created by business men who were operating in the area and failed to adhere to established laws in regard to alcohol business in Kenya. Most of them opened the business without the very important business formal documents, this prompted the Local government Authority to close down their business. Also most of them were selling illegal wines and spirit with mark of quality from the Kenya bureaus of Standards. My business has thrived very well because I acquired all the required documents from relevant authorities. My business faces minimal or no risks at all because I have a very high demand and minimal competition. To make my business thrive and grow very big I sell quality and standardized products at very fair price I also do not allow my workers to sell alcohol to minor person who has not attained 18years of age. Monthly I incur approximately Kenyan shillings 230,000 that is including purchase of stock rent, DSTV charges and labour expenses. Monthly am able to make a monthly sales of Kenyan shillings 300,000. I get a profit margin of Kenyan shillings 80,000. Am looking forward to establish a distribution centre and also expand the room where football fans watch from because it is not so big and customers are increasing rapidly.
thank you so much my lenders for funding my first loan, the investment that i engaged in was very successful. i got very good returns especially these world cup season i have made high sales. i will use my second loan as an additional capital to buy more Inventory of wines and spirits and other alcohol brews that are legalized by the Government of Kenya. my good service and legality of my business has enabled me to attract more and more customers and i need the funding to expand my business by buying more plastic chairs to create more space and comfortability of my customers. i will buy more seats which will be used during English Premier League matches on weekends and also by customers who want to enjoy their drinks outside my pub.
