About Me
I am twenty- seven (27) years old, born in Mamprobi; in the Greater Accra of the republic of Ghana, to Mr. Victor Obeng and Janet Boateng. My father was a Teacher and my mother a petty trader. I was the first child of my parent; therefore I helped a lot with house hold chores and petty trading activities at the same time schooling.
It was my parent’s desire and wish that I and my siblings go higher in education, however, there is no money at home as my dad lost his job, therefore the need that I also assist my mother the only income earner in her petty trading to raise money for the family up keep and for paying our school fees (bills) as well.
I successfully excel in my basic education certificate exams; though there was no money at home to enable further my education, I assisted my mother in her trading, hence able to pay for my secondary education. I successful passed my secondary education, and therefore entered into the university, where I studied information studies. After my university education, I did my national service. While doing national service, I was still selling any fast moving items in order to cater for my siblings. After the national service and since getting job is becoming difficulty. I decided to go into full time selling of second hand clothing. About month later when the business was doing well, I employed three additional hand who sales on commission basis. If I am able to secure zidisha loan which has lower interest rate, I can employ at least two additional hands.
Ghana is a peaceful nation, practicing multi-party democracy and it’s my hope and prayer that one day, I will marry and have my children that I would be able to educate to the highest level, and would become responsible adults, so as to have a meaningful living.
My Business
My second hand clothing business, which involves the sale of Khaki shorts, I am able to get quality and affordable cloths for my customers who are retail buyers both within and outside the city and also senior high students who need khaki shorts for school, since it is must wear attire for boys in senior high.
My job is now an additional source of income for the family. I am also considering adding the sale of ladies cloths to my business, as it looks to be a viable venture and for the zidisha loan when granted.
Zidisha loan would enable me buy more inventory in bulk and then enjoy some discount. .
I hope zidisha team would approve and disburse the loan to me to enable me continues operating my business and serving many people, so as I can make more profit in order to repay the Zidisha loan.
Loan Proposal
If granted the loan, I will purchase more inventories in large quantity at lower cost.
Getting this support from Zidisha means improving my business and would increase my profit to at least 48%.
Counting on the kind gesture from the zidisha team, to enable me improve the lives of the people in my community the much more.
Thank you.
