My name i Monica Ndung'u from Kenya, i run a retail store selling plastic wares like utensils,basins and other household items. I have overcome alot of obstacles to start and maintain my business,i am passionate about self employment because its empowering especially us women. I started my business in 2007 it was a challenge because i had less capital,but with consistence and hard work i was able to lift my business to a better status where i was able to pay my bills and be able to save some cash for my children school fees. I have 2 children who are doing well in school and they both have a passion for business. My hobbies are singing and sewing.

I have a store where i sale plastic wares like utensils, basins, and other household items. This items are in demand because the best quality lasts longer so consumers prefer this and also they are much more affordable than other items. I chose this kind of business because the items are nonperishable, i can stock in bulk and sale without the worries of the item spoiling, the item sells faster and the profit is good. My expenses are paying electricity bill,and rent per month, i use the profit to pay for my children's school fees, buying more stock, home expenses like food and rent per month.

I plan to buy plastic utensils like plates, cups, basins and buckets and sell as retail this stock will cost $10 to buy. This will help me a lot to boost my business and increase my profit as this products have great demand. I expect my profit to increase by 50%.
