I am a young man aged 34 years and the second last born in a family of six, where four are brothers and one sister. I am a graduate of Community Development and social work.
I live in Juja area, in the larger Kiambu county of Kenya.
My passion is in online remote work, but of late the gigs are getting less. I then developed interest in importing and selling devices such as laptops, phones, and accessories, which has been substituting my income.
Having previously accessed three loans from Zidisha, I utilized them to get better devices to help in my remote work. The impact was very positive.
Things worked out quite well and I was able to service my loans to the last coin.
As I continue to build on the small business of importing and selling phones and laptops, I am optimistic that partnering with Zidisha will enable me to grow and achieve more.
I order and import phones and laptops, which I then sell online on Facebook marketplace.
I currently have two pending orders that I haven't fulfilled yet, due to shortage of finances.
Zidisha funding allows me to fulfill more orders and grow my income.
My niche is informed by the desire of many people to own premium quality phones and laptops, at a price that is lower than what is offered locally.
As I grow my income and the business itself, I hope to have a physical shop and hopefully offer employment.
As of now, I already create employment as I have to engage the services of delivery agents, since my business is purely online.
