I went to Sengereri Primary school and then proceeded to Nyamiranga secondary school for my secondary education. I passed very well and was called to Join Kenyatta University for higher education. I completed my undergraduate university education in 2011 and decided to venture into business because in my country Kenya the level of unemployment is very low and therefore getting a job is something that is very difficult. I come from an extended family and we are 7 in our family: 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Am the eldest and for this reason I have to struggle to assist them financially in one way or another. My parents are not all that able and therefore they cannot raise all the fees required to pay for my other siblings and this made me to look for a business that can earn me something so that I can support them in one way or the other way out!
I first started my business in 2012 and this was after finishing my university undergraduate degree and the reason why I did so was because I looked for an employment opportunity but was not able to find it anywhere and this is what motivated me to enter into the business of selling clothes. I first looked for a starting capital from some of my colleagues and it assisted me to venture into business. The loan I got from Zidisha assisted me to improve my business and now I own a very big boutique at kahawa wendani that sells all types of clothes. I sell all kinds of clothes especially the male and ladies clothes because they are on demand due to the high population around the area. Am sure that I will increase my business with coming loan.
My business is improved up to to- day. I am happy and I intend to use the loan to expand my business by buying more inventory to contain the increased number of customers buying clothes. I kindly ask you lenders to fund me so that I expand my cloth selling business and through the way I will generate extra income.
