I am the second born in a family of four boys. My father is a retired civil servant and my mother, a re-nown business lady in Nakuru county passed on in August, 2011. Currently I am a business lady in Nakuru town, Nakuru county.

I schooled at Mt St Marys Primary school Molo and did my seventh grade in 1971.

I joined Njoro girls high

school in 1972 to 1975 where I did my O levels. In January, 1976 I joined Kianda secretarial college. I studied typing, shorthand and business english and graduated with a diploma.

I ventured into business because after I was retrenched from my previous employment as a sales and marketing lady in an oil company(AGIP PETROLEUM)

In 2011 I started a cyber cafe in Nakuru. I started with 3 computers and so far the business is fairly good. From the profits I have been able to buy another two computers because the business traffic flow is encouraging. I started this business to earn a living and meet my daily needs.

My hobbies are traveling, watching tv documentaries, reading journals, Socializing, History and current affairs, singing country music (duet), floral arrangement and interior decor. I also counsel the youth and my peers in church and within my surroundings.

My big dream is to run a big IT center in Nakuru county that will serve the digital age bracket that is increasing by the day.

Since 201 I have been I have been operating a cyber cafe within Nakuru CBD. I started with three computers, scanning machine and a photocopier. The business is very promising since it is

located with reach of two universities namely Presbyterian and Jomo Kenyatta. Also there are nine more universities surrounding our business location. There is a demand for our services because of the traffic flow we experience from the university students who come to do their research at my cyber making the business profitable. Customers prefer my cyber because of good customer relationship and variety of services that I offer.

Some of the risks I face are electricity failure and theft.

My monthly costs are as follows:-

1. Rent is 100USD per month.

2. Electricity is 10USD.

3. Assistant manager 50USD

4. Transport monthly 10USD

5. Miscellaneous 20USD

Total expenditure 190USD

Earnings 200 - 250USD per month.

Less expenditure 190 USD = 10 - 60 USD.

Besides the cyber business I also do network marketing of health products with Green World Company. I earn 200USD in commissions on average monthly.

I am therefore able to sustain myself in life though not as comfortable as I would wish. With Zidisha loan, I will be able to expand my cyber business by buying more computers to increase customers engage two more employees and thus create jobs. This could be the beginning of the journey to my big dream of owning a mega IT center.

I will purchase photocopier ink roller to replace the used one
