i am a computer technician based in nyahururu in the Rift Valley region of kenya.
i studied computer maintenance at Laikipia University Town Campus.
i also studied software development at Nairobi Aviation Nyahururu Campus.
Undertaking the two courses was difficult because of financial issues. but i was able to overcome these difficulties and to acquire the two certificates.
i was encouraged by a fellow technician who urged me to venture into the field and i have been able to be well established as a technician in the town.
the main economic activity in nyahururu is farming but there are other well established as well as upcoming businesses.
i provide computer repair services, programming database management software, both colour and black and white printing.
i have been able to establish my business as a reliable print shop. i handle A4 size paper printing on different types of paper such as Epson matte and embossed.
there is a university near the town whose student population is quite large. since assignments and projects have to be typed and printed, i am able to provide them with these services.
in software development services, I mainly develop database management systems.my clients are mainly education institutions since they have a lot of information that they need to manage.
