I hold a bachelors degree in Linguistics,Media and Communication. I have over five years experience working in the media industry as a program director and a television producer. However, 2 years ago I quit the media industry to start an entrepreneurship journey. I have been operating my business since then and I feel it is the greatest thing that has happened in my life since. This experience has changed my view on employment. I believe youths can leverage educational qualifications and skills to run their ventures instead of looking for jobs.
I currently run a transport business, public service and tour vans. I chose this line of business because apart from the profit I make from the venture, I am able to create employment. I currently have six full time staff who depend on the business for their livelihood. Any additional funding secured will be critical in business expansion initiatives and exploring new avenues for sustainability. I hope to have EV vans to ensure future sustainability and contribute towards climate change mitigation.
I want to use the funds for my transport van engine repair. My engine has been consuming oil and I feel this could cause other serious concerns if not addressed now. The funds will help in spare parts purchase.
