My names are Geofrey Ndungu Josephat. I was born in 1970 in Uasin Gishu county. i have six siblings. I joined primary school in 1977. I later joined secondary school in the year 1982. All my parents were causal laborers in a white mans farming scheme.
It was so hard for our parents to pay for our fees since even food was not easy to get. through my highs school education was sponsored by a well wisher from Australia. I later got married and we were blessed with three children, a boy and two girls. After the death of my wife during Corona epidemic in 2020 I struggled a lot since she was the bread winner. this led me to start a hotel business in Nakuru. During my free time i usually go for swimming as a stress therapy.
I started my hotel business in the year 2020. My hotel is situated in Nakuru city where we offer catering services, accommodation and conference facilities. Nakuru is a busy place with organizations, and many visitors thus hotel services are quite needed.
My typical costs are include food stuffs, drinks, detergents, salaries etc. in a normal day we get approximate gross income of kenya shillings 80,000.
I am able to pay my school children's fees, recently I started potato farming which I partially sell and use the rest in the hotel.
I intend to use the funds to renovate part of my restaurant and also install umbrella sheds on the sides to hold more revellers in the open for relaxation. This improve sales, create more employment for community and support to myself and family.
