Having lived in the city previously, farming life proved to be a challenge with the going back and forth, from Mombasa to Kilifi to oversee or collect farm vegetables and fruits ready for sale
At the onset of the COVID19 pandemic and having lost my mother, who was in my care to Sarcoma just before the pandemic, I decided to permanently move to the rural kanamai, Kilifi.
My business is farming, both in cash crops and poultry rearing.
I have planted amaranthus, giant nightshade, jalapenos, okra, brinjals, pawpaws, and long sweet plantains.
Also, have a chicken shed where I rear the rainbow chicken, that I sell eggs and meat.
I also do online freelance work from various sites like appen.com, trans perfect, transcription and article writing.
As a small scale farmer, I am seeking to branch out to value addition of my products.
