My name is Moussa Go and I live in Banfora. I come from Dedougou, Burkina Faso. I worked at SN SUSUCO, a sugar refinery in Banfora. At the same time, I started to make fly swatters and shoes out of old tires. In 2008, I left my work at Susuco to make fly swatters full time. After I met a Peace Corps volunteer, I started to make sacks and other accessories too. I did not attend school, but I learned to read with my friends. With the profits from by business, I want to grow my business and my brother is going to help me.
My organization is called "La vie chere" and it's creative recycling. I make shoes, fly swatters, and bags out of inner tubes and old tires. I can also make messenger bags. I am the only person in Burkina who does this and I earn decent profits from it. With the loan, I want to purchase a new sewing machine and hire some women or my brother. I want to export these products to the United States. With a new machine, I could increase the quality of my products. My costs are variable and normally I make 100,000 CFA in sales each month. Thanks.
Visit www.laviechere.org! With the loan I am going to purchase a sewing machine. Now, I use a machine that does not use electricity. I have many orders in Burkina and from the United States and I need a new machine to improve the quality of my products and to employ women from Banfora who could help me. With the new machine, we can make more products faster. I am going to reinvest in my business.
