Am Nancy Barongo, a Kenyan citizen, 24 years old, and currently single. I am the third born in a family of seven, although we lost two siblings. I was born and raised in Nyamira County, where I completed my secondary education(2019), and later pursued a short course in Computer ICT Level 3.

After finishing my studies, I worked for three years in a beauty shop(2022-2024), where I gained valuable experience in customer service, communication, and responsibility. Through discipline, saving, and determination, I was able to open my own beauty shop in 2025

Currently, I manage the shop operations and oversee all aspects of the business. Running my own business has taught me teamwork, problem-solving, and business management skills, and I am passionate about growing both professionally and personally.

I run a small beauty shop that serves people in my neighborhood. In my shop, I offer beauty products and services that help my customers look and feel their best. Some of the most popular products in my shop include hair care items, skincare products, and cosmetics. These products are purchased regularly because they are part of my customers’ daily routines.

I started this business because it is practical, sustainable, and meets the beauty needs of my community. It allows me to manage costs while earning a steady income.

My main expenses are restocking products, transport, rent, and other small operating costs. My daily sales grow when my shelves are well-stocked, especially with the products my customers buy most. I am seeking support to increase my stock so I can meet customer demand and grow my income.

The profits I earn help support my family, and any extra income is reinvested to steadily expand my business.

I plan to use the funds to grow and improve my beauty shop so that I can better serve my customers and increase my income. The money will be used to purchase more beauty products such as hair care item and skincare products, and cosmetics that are in high demand.
