About Me

I Naftal Njuguna Kamau was born in 4/7/1977 in Nairobi where I was being brought up by my beloved family. I went to the nursery school in 1983 at NGECHA Nursery school in Umuru Division in Kiambu District where I stared performing very well because I was always top 10. in 1986 I joined primary school and continued with the motto of becoming top until I finished started 8 in 1994. I joined a school called Gichoru High School even the principal started recognizing me because of my good behavior . in 1997 I was promoted as a school games captain because I was performing very well even in sides of games. I continued with my education till I finished form four. After attaining c+ from there I started looking for collages where I can keep myself busy before I decided what I can be doing in my life. In 1999 I was invited by my sister in Nanyuki when I decided to learn First Aid in a well recognized Hospital in Nanyuki called Cottage Hospital. After I did it very well they decided to employ me as a driver and first adder. My life begun there because at least I started getting as the end of the month after I worked there for 8 years I decided to upgrade by learning about V.C.T. After searching the college of VCT up and down I was helped by an NGO called APHIA plus but then it was APHIA + so they took me to college in Nakuru and paid for me all the expenses from there they posted me to Nanyuki District Hospital as a VCT counselor where I stared a small business with the money that I had already saved amount to Kshs 150, 000.

My Business

I Naftal Njuguna Kamau of ID 20906096, I started my business in 2nd sept 2000 with a capital of Kshs. 150,000. I started as a kiosk where I was selling things like sugar, Rice, Tea, Fat, Toilet papers, eggs, sweets, biscuits, pampers ,bulbs, saviets, match box ,unga.,Royco, toothpicks ,baking powder, cotton wool, steel wire plus things like potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, fruits, bananas. God is good my business works well and I decided to buy the bicycle for carrying market goods and for God grace I got bicycle I decided to employ someone because I was working that time, so I did not, hence enough time to satisfy my customer I employed a lady. So after working I was coming direct home to take the order of the things that were requested by the customer plus adding more stocks. For God’s grace that lady worked very well and I decided to marry her because she was very hardworking in the business. From there our business worked very well and we decided to look for a bigger place so that we can put more and more variety of goods. I decided to have a bigger room of two rooms, the bigger room. I decided to keep it as shop and the other room I keep it as a store. Anyway God worked miracuracly as usual in a place that I started buying things in cartons to a producer like some that I know called Sagar limited. So that my business can expand more and more, according to my calculation every month I usually get a profit of 45000-15000 expenditure =30000 profit. Thanks in advance and I will start teaching more people about Zidisha Microfinance so that they can benefit like me to. Thanks and may God bless you

Dear zidisha staff first is to apologise for the contract we had between you and i .The reason for not completing my contract was my father who got so ill.The illness started on december 2013 at date 14.He started feeling unwell and was requiring 320,000 kenya shillings for his medication to start. We started planning for a funds drive inorder to help our father. After a few days,my mother started complaining of pain in the whole body so we became confused who to help and who to wait but unfortunately we were only able to raise 250000 kenya shillings. The doctor started preparing for the tools to use to help my father.the main problem of my father was chronic arthritis on the upper joint of the right thigh.the doctor was to book for the special tools(special plate) that was supposed to be inserted between the joints. So the doctor advised us to pay for the first plate then after three months to pay for the other one so that he can be able to walk again.my father is still recovering so what i can say God is good.I have planned that by 20 th April 2014,i will pay the full loan balance.I am very sorry for that but in future i will plan myself well. Thanks in advance zidisha staff.
