About Me

My name is Flora Mkali born 20 years ago in a family of 3 and I am the second born. I was born in Mombasa City where I went for my primary and secondary education. My parents like many other withing my neighborhood struggled a lot to raise and educate us. I later enrolled in a commercial college where I did a certificate course in business management.

After failing to secure a job, I started a retail shop with the help of my parents. I live in an urban area with people from all walks of life. I have a burning desire to succeed and I want to build my future at this early age. I would like to expand my business so as to support my parents and siblings.

My Business

I run a retail shop in an area called Mshomoroni which is a suburb of Mombasa city. My shop caters for people who buy common household goods. This provides a convenient alternative to those people who do not like to travel long distances to buy from super markets.

I source my stock from wholesalers who are in town and the re-sell and sometimes repackage at a profit. I decided to venture into this business to address the void that I saw and in the process save the people in the neighborhood from traveling long distances to buy common goods.

Since I am single, I reinvest back most of the profit to the business and this has ensured a steady growth.

Loan Proposal

I plan to use the money to increase my stock. The demand of my clients keep growing and I would like to use this money to introduce new items which are on high demand.

These items are 1. kerosine - 70 liters at a cost of $60 and 2. 30 liters of Cooking oil at $35.

This will go a long way in ensuring that my business is well stocked and it will definitely improve my income.
