About Me

My name is Dennis Damoah..I am from Ghana and a graduate from the University but life after school has not been too smooth since the rate of unemployment is high... I then decided to get myself into trade about a year now. I started on the low and my capital was not too big so i could not buy enough as i wanted, so as to increase profit. A friend told me about Zidisha loans and i decided to get on board so as to have a loan and be able to expand my buying capital this year.

My Business

I deal in the buying of cashew nut from local farmers and i intend sell to some foreign exporters who come to buy the cashew in large scale and load unto trucks for shipment... When i started last year, at the end of the peak season, i had been able to buy 20 bags of cashew, with each bag weighing about 80 kilograms. a bag of cashew cost about 100$ but i usually buy in little kilos from the farmers before i can have a full bag over time. I had little financial difficulty with the payment of sacks and a larger weight scale which i used to carry out my operations. Again, i sometimes buy cashew from farms and it becomes a problem when i have to either walk or hire a vehicle to carry my bought goods to my warehouse. When given this loan, i will work hard with it so i can increase my purchasing power with the increased capital and also get myself a motorbike which i will use to carry loads i buy from long distances..I am hoping to get this loan and then i can improve on my previous year's buys, so as to increase my capital as well as the associated profit.

Loan Proposal

I am Damoah Dennis and i have been the cashew trade for more than a year now. Last year was good but i still lacked certain basic needs as i had to visit farms to make purchase and when bringing loads back home was a little troubling because of bills that local boys who carry the luggage charge per bag... I therefore wish to expand my buying capital this year as we are already in the cashew peak season, so that i can buy more bags and have adequate capital to enable me buy a motorbike which i would use to convey the bags of cashew from the various farms to my warehouse...when given this loan in time, i am sure i can increase my buying capital and my associated profit shall also increase.

Dear Lenders, I have tried several time to speak with Dennis but any time I try to do so his phone is off. I am finding other means to get to him to start with his repayment. Thank you.

Hello my renowned lenders, Life has not been smooth after i took this loan and invested it. Just about a week ago, when i thought all was going on well with my new business has also come to an abrupt stop after the rains that lasted for almost 11 hours. I have lost my home, my job and most of my valuables. I was a victim of the Accra floods on the 3rd of June , 2015 and t has not been easy. I have intentions of paying back every penny i owe zidisha but this time round i am pleading with authorities to curb the interest readings on my loan because i now do not have a revenue generating job and since the floods, i have been surviving on donations from individuals. I wish you could take away the interest readings on my loan so that when i am able to raise 75GHS at any day or any time i can pay and be debt free from Zidisha. please hear me out. because i even need relief support due to the floods. thank you

    Hello Zidisha
thanks so much for the loan
it really helped my cashew buying business but not the the extent that i expected it to.
I could buy a half bag of cashew with the money i received and that could not go a long way to affect my profit though i made a handful. A bag of cashew cost 350 cedis, that is about 90$ usd and i could only buy 160cedis which is about 50$ usd.
Now the purchase period is over and i have run at a loss
i am now trying to put together some money to be able to foot my arrears.
i have managed to send 30ghs today and i will now extend my repayment schedule to suit my ability
thanks for the loan but unfortunately the loan could not earn me the profit i expected it to pump into my business
this has been the reason for my delay
    thank you ZIDISHA TEAM

Hello Zidisha, i got a call from a relative relating my loan payment due..I am currently in ivory coast still buying some more goods. I will be back in Ghana in the course of the week and shall make the payment due. sorry for the delay but my line of work involves reaching out to the farmers on their farmland and that makes me go places and very difficult for internet access. my business has been good so far and i should be back soon.

I made purchase of cashew and i have been able to increase my stock to 2 additional bags
i have not sold them yet to my potential foreign buyers because they have not arrived but i am sure after sales i should have a potential increase of 100 cedis
i am yet to have the increment and i am sure when i have the increase in profit, i shall re-invest in buying extra more kilos of cashew to increase my stock as this happens to be the peak season
cashew season has 8 more weeks before trade finishes and i am doing my best in the village to buy as much as i can
that is the main reason i have not been active on the internet to be able to share my experience and well being in business
thanks so much zidisha for making my business a success
and hopefully after the buying season, i can have enough to buy a motorbike to assist me in my travel to and fro the village to the city and by so doing, i can make all payments on time and be able to share my experience too
Zidisha is the best loan facility and i advise all to get involved

Hello Zidisha, This is Dennis Damoah. Thanks so much for the capital given me to boost my trade...I am very sorry for the delay in my payment due to the schedule...I have just deposited 60GHS....the main reason for my delay is because i happen to trade in the village where there is no internet connection or mobile money merchant...i had to travel about 30km to be able to load some money unto my mobile money account before i could make the transfer today.....i always receive your message prompting me to make my payment when the date is due and i am not able to pay on time due to the above stated reason...Now will be moving back to the village tomorrow morning to get back to my trade because i buy from local farmers from their farmland right after harvest......i will continually keep making the payment as scheduled but please if there is any delay on my part, then it is because i am in the village and have constraint in sending my money by mobile money.....I am so sorry for the delay and i hope i am forgiven
Indeed, the loan facility has boosted my trade and i await the foreign buyers to come and buy my stock so i can have enough money to make my payments on the due schedule...
Zidisha is the best thing that ever happened to my trade and business life and i cannot tell how thankful i am
thanks so much for your patience and assistance
    am grateful

I was able to speak with Denis on phone and he explain there is delay in his repayment simply because he has travel and don't have access to MTN mobile Money operation there. In fact he admit to pay in full as soon as he return. I believe he will start payment soon.Thank you.

Thanks so much Mr Emmanuel Agyapong Boakye for the opportunity of calling me to know my plight
i am very grateful and i am doing my best to heed to your advise of making payment in due time on all occasions
You have really been a true inspiration.......I happen to be in the village where i undertake my trade and due to the absence of internet connectivity and mobile money merchant, i had to travel from long kilometers to be able to make my payment today and also have internet access
i will do my best to comply with the next payment schedule...God bless you
