About Me

My name is charity Doe, I am about 30 years old. I come from the volta region of Ghana but I live and stay in Obuase in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
I attended both my primary and junior high school at Obuasi in Ashanti Region of Ghana. I attended
Senior high school at Nkawie in the Ashanti Region.
I have three siblings, one boy and three girls. I have a daughter who is about a year. I now work at Seikwa health centre in Tain district as a technical officer in disease control.

My mother is a trader and my father has retired since my senior secondary education. After my father’s retirement the burden of the family was on my mother and this made things difficult for the family.

As the first born of the family, the burden of the family falls on me as I have to support them with the little I have.
Looking at the financial difficulties I added farming to my work in order to get extra source of income and food stuffs for the family.

I will be very grateful if I receive this loan support to enable me expand my farming business. This will help me and my family to achieve our dreams.
I have already assisted my other siblings in their education and other needs with the little I had from zidisha.
Thank you.

My Business

I plant maize for sale and for family consumption. In addition I plant yam and vegetables.
My farm is at seikwa in the Tain District of Ghana.
Maize is on a higher demand in Ghana. It is use for making many varieties of food like kooko(porridge), banku, kenkey, akple and many more.
After harvesting my produce I sell them to the traders who buy for sale in the cities and also for export. Again I sell in smaller quantities to the people in my area who cannot buy in bulk.I have now grown interest in farming as it help in eradicating world hunger
The money I get from the farming is use to support myself and the family. Zidisha loans is making a lot of good in my family and I praise you for the good works.

Unemployment is on a worrying trend in my country so it is my dream to expand my farming to the level that I can employ so many people in my farm to offer them livelihood.

I will be very happy to get this loan as that will help me expand my farming to achieve all my targeted dreams in life.

Loan Proposal

I wish to take a loan to support my farming business . I plant maize for commercial purpose .
In addition I plant yam and other vegetables like tomatoes, garden eggs and also pepper. The price of this items on the Ghanaian market are 100kg of maize 51 dollars, 100 tubers of yam 55 dollars ,tomatoes are sold from 0.5 to 12.8 dollars depending on the quantity.
I sell this items and use the money to support myself and my family.
It is my dream to further my education in the university but because of financial difficulties I want to help my parents to cater for my siblings education after which I will also further my education.
Below is how I intend to use this loan;
Half of this money will be used to buy farm inputs and for clearing the land and preparation, one third of it will be used to buy food for a caretaker who help me at the farm and also for his pocket money. The rest will be use to support my other siblings education.
If I am able to raise this loan it will help change my life and also my family life too.
I will reinvest some of my profit and use some in addition to my salary to pay this loan back
I am looking forward for you usual cooperation.

Thank you and may God bless you all and the zidisha community.
