About Me
My names are Derick Otieno , am a barber and i run a barber shop and a salon at my local neighborhood, i was born and brought up in kisii town in kisii county,i went to school at Mwembe primary school and later-on kisii high school in kisii county.I was raised by my mother and father but my father had an accident that left him crippled . My mother was forced to work hard to fend for me,my father and my two brothers , she sold groceries to help us survive,She paid my school fees until i competed my college at kisii technical college .I worked at one barbershop for a period of one year , then moved on to start my own .Kisii people are hospitable people. my child wants to be a teacher.i love reading books and watching movies.
My Business
I ran a barbershop and salon, i shave people, and i also plait ladies hair.The business is about grooming people , and it is necessary because people need to look good.I chose this business because i meet new people daily, i make a living from it and i satisfy somebodies grooming needs. The major costs are the cost of paying for electricity, the shop rent and the cost of license which i pay yearly.My income amounts to 30,000 KES every month, which i use to reinvest back into the business. and for feeding my family.
Loan Proposal
I will buy a new car battery which will cost $60, and $40 will be for membership fee since am a new member.This will enable me to continue with my work even when there are black outs, and therefore my business will not be on a stand still when blackouts are there.My profits will increase by 20%, since blackouts happen anytime.
