About Me

My name is Nancy kessiwaah and am 23 years now,i am affectionately known as awo kessiwaah.I grew up at kasoa, precisely Congo villa at kasoa akweley.I had my primary education as his magesty primary and JHS.I pursued senior high school at swedru senior high school. I read business in school.
After senior high school I had the chance to manage a family super market popularly known as provision shop in Ghana. I have efficiently managed this for two and half years now.
I live in a heterogeneous environment where different tribes and cultures have surrounded me.Kasoa is a developing town into city and there's nothing like festival to be celebrated because it more or less nobodys hometown.
I am not married now because I have the dream to pursue nursing program.I have a 2 year old girl but am not officially married.
I normally visit the beach at my leisure times even though I have a busy schedule.I like swimming.

My Business

I provide groceries and household products for sale at retail prices.
Grocery and household products are fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and so therefore consumers use them everyday and bring sales all the time. The demand is always high since almost every individual on the average will have to purchase a grocery everyday. It brings sales or revenue everyday.
Am in this business because it a family business and it is a lucrative business as well. This is the only business my 75 year old mum has done to raise 5 children of which am the last born and now the manager of the business. The business is located at kasoa on the bawjiase road.
As in my typical cost and revenue,a weekly sales or revenue of averagely $1,400 is made. I spend $1000 to $1,200 weekly for stocking shortage items and this is done on every Friday which is a market day in Kasoa. My weekly profit made is between $100 to $120.Weekly profit from the business is accumulated to monthly profit by means of savings.A fixed amount of $15 is paid monthly as electricity bill.
Profit accrued is used for house keeping and little miscellaneous budget.

Loan Proposal

My loan of GHS 349 ($109) when funded will be used to purchase a set of bar code scanner machine which cost $200.The difference of $90 is already available to be added to the loan to procure the equipment to help me record and save prices of various items on my desktop computer to facilite the growth of my business.
The reason been that it very difficult to remember prices of the numerous products off head, especially the one shop attendant who really finds it difficult with price differences at my absent.A colleague who manages a pharmaceutical shop recommended this to me of which after various discussions with expert I have come realised that it indeed the best way to go.
