About Me

My name is Regina Magiri Nganga I was born in 1972 at kianjoya maunarok in nakuru county in I attended kianjoya primary school for my basic education and later I joined michinda secondary school for my o levels . After school I joined my parents in their farming activities back at home in kianjoya. After relatively many years of toiling in the farm I decided to start self employment unfortunately there was also many years of trial and error in different fields of business this sometimes resulted into back tracking for employment to build yet another capital to restart all over again. In 2008 I settled in kikopey village in the outskirts of Gilgil town. Here I started a butchery business and thrived, a business I run to date. I am blessed with two children a boy and a girl. I look forward to be a zidisha member.

My Business

My business is located in kikopey in outskirts of gilgil town which is in the central rift valley of Kenya. The nature of my business is butchery where I sell meat to the local community and mainly to the motorists. This is because kikopey village is located along the Nakuru Nairobi highway. I started this kind of business after I realized there was great demand for roasted meat among motorists especially on transit to and from the western part of Kenya. NYAMA CHOMA as commonly known in Kiswahili is very popular in Kenya making it a delicacy to most people hence giving me better profit margin. My customers prefer to buy meat in my butchery because it is tastier than that of competitors. The fact that I buy my animals for slaughter form the nomadic communities who are as far as chebunyo in transmara where they are well reared and cheap. This gives me an opportunity to sell my product at a fair price. Some of the challenges I face is luck of enough capital to buy more animals for slaughter to meet the ever increasing demand. With zidisha platform I will have an opportunity to expand and grow my business.

Loan Proposal

A word of hello and many thanks to you all my lenders the first loan was very helpful to my business i was able to get increase my profits by slaughtering more goats per day. this second loan will give me a chance to refurbish my butchery to attract more customers who are mainly motorists for a stop over to eat roasted meat commonly known as NYAMA CHOMA this will mean more profits which will help me to service my loan on time while maintaining the business sustainability. God bless.
