About Me

I am a hardworking lady and a mother of one whom like many Kenyans has found it hard to secure a job despite my qualifications, I have a certificate in business management from Kenya college of Accountacy which has helped me a lot to get through my current phase of unemployment. Unemployment has not stopped me from working hard to attain my goals and now with zidisha coupled with zidisha success stories I have witnessed with two of my friends, my goals will surely be realized. The quest for a better life has made me realize employment is not the only avenue to success, that’s why I have since started a beauty/cosmetics business.

My Business

Thanks to Zidisha, I have moved from hawking products to establishing a business premises just outside the university grounds. Customers (Mainly campus students) are able to get me at any time during working hours. I buy in wholesale essentials like vests, Bras, Perfumes, Socks, earings, etc from wholesalers and sell piece by piece to locals at a very good profits. Business was good when i was hawking but it is even better after acquiring a shop it has realy grown. Soon I will replicate the same in several campuses.

Loan Proposal

Thanks to Zidisha helping me set up a business premises at the university my clients have found me to be very reliable since nowadays they have a place they can buy from any time unlike earlier when i was relying on hawking. I want a loan which will help me replicate the same in another university (JKUAT) which is about 20km away. This will boost my income greatly as i believe both universities have similar challenges. I have identified the premises at a prime area. Thank you so much Zidisha members as you facilitate this loan.

Business has been slow and the upcoming holidays are not helping. I expect things to be better in a month or two but in the mean time 400 is the much that i can comfortably afford.
