introduction, iam a young lady staying in ugunja town siaya county i am married with 2 children . my parents died when i was young being afirst born in our family iam forced to take care of the other 4 young siblings whom i educate i there fore decided to begin a business so that they would go to school.i started abusiness of mpesa and also making popcorns . imy education background is 4th form and i did not perform so well since i was absent from school most of the time .my major challenge then was how to get finances to begin abusiness to help me meet my needs .i got married at an early age since i was very idle . after marriage my husband helped me with acapital to begin a business of mpesa since the demand was very high in our town
my business deals with mpesa and popcorns which i sell outside my mpesa shop m.my main customers are the residents of ugunja who come to the market to buy goods . most of them use mpesa to transact their business . the demand for mpesa and popcorns is very high i am the only person selling popcorns most of the customers prefer me because i pack them as small as 10/= which they can afford so i sell 100 packets per day which give me 1000/= daily that gives me aprofit of 15000/= monthly the mpsa gives me 10000/= monthly avarage this gives me total income in amonth of 25000/= this money i use to pay my rent fees and domestic use my costs are paying rent for the shop county tax uploading my reloading my mpesa and buying popcorn maize . the risk i have is security of mpesa its arisky business because you handle big sums of money
i will use the money to travel to Nairobi and get more clothes for children second hand .the demand for children clothes has gone up most of my customers when they come to purchase their clothes they demand to get their kids clothes .this will improve my business because my sales will go up.i will use the the 75dollars to purchase and 25 dollars to pay my transport to Nairobi from the wholesalers
