About Me

Hello my name is Becky Majengo, and am a single mother. While I was in high school I got involved with a guy whom I thought was in love with me. Unfortunately I got pregnant while I was in form three and that's when hell broke lose, the guy rejected me and my pregnancy and I was forced to drop out of school. Back at home my parents wanted nothing to do with me, so I pleaded with my elder sister who agreed to take in till I put to bed.
Things were not easy there and her husband never liked me.
After I put to bed the husband made clear I wasn't welcome there. My sister gave me kes 5000 put I really didn't know exactly what to do. So I asked a friend who I had known from my sister if she would let me stay with. I stay with her and she was really kind to me. I later got involved with another guy but the relationship didn't work out I had my second child but I wouldn't stay with the father since he would love my first child as his own. I started washing people clothes around the estate I made a little savings, my friend was working at an Mpesa and she told me can help me start an Mpesa, we agreed on how I would pay for the Mpesa line and that's how I started my Mpesa plus retail shop. At the moment I have managed to grow it and currently I own the line and I also sell household items to help me meet my daily needs and those of my kids.

My Business

I own a retail shop plus an Mpesa, in my retail shop I sell everything from eggs, milk, sugar, bread recharge cards and I also transact Mpesa services for my clients.
The profit margins are not big coz on Mpesa I rely on commission and how many transactions i do in a month and how much float I can run the Mpesa with.
So far I can say I make a profit of kes 10000 to KES 15000 a month this is after I have paid rent and electricity bills.
So far the business is sustaining me coz am able to take care of my house rent buy baby food and a few things that I need.
I will like to be able to increase my float and also my stock this will help me grow my commission and profit from my business and it's my sincere hope that this platform will help me achieve that.

Loan Proposal

I would like to apply for another loan, I will use a sum of KES 4000 to add to my Mpesa float and KES 1000 to buy lines both new and those for replacement. Adding my Mpesa float will ensure that I serve my clients Better and be able to offer all the services my customers need. Thank you for this opportunity
