About Me

My names are Kiarie Njuguna, born in 1981 at Kiambu district. Done primary education where i scored above average, got admitted at Secondary School and graduated with a C+ at Thigio Secondary and lastly did some accounting ATC I&II, CPA-1,2 & 3. I refer my self a junior accountant. Am a family man with a wife and two kids a daughter and a son aged 8yrs and 1yr respectively. Am generally a businessman though i have been to several contractual employments. It has been good opportunities being employed coz i have gained knowledge on running business. Business is the best teacher of life, it teaches you patient, resilience, overcoming, time for big profits and big losses, low and high times.. business is the best teacher of life. Since year 2001 i have run different types of businesses,General retail Kiosk-selling sugar, maize flour, sugar, salt, cooking fat...e.t.c which i run between 2001-2002 and closed down after theft of all the stock. I started a communication business which was very successful till competition brought me down, that was between 2002-2006. Did taxi business at Mombasa-Kenyas' coast line 2008-2011 which stopped abruptly after a fatal accident that got my car written off. 2011- to date I concern myself in supply of confectioneries and petroleum jelly. Which has been doing good.

My Business

My current business is supply of confectioneries and petroleum jellies. I buy in wholesale and deliver for sale in retail shops. The main challenge in the business is moving far delivering the goods, its tiring though profitable. I have a good client base in four different parts from the main city where i buy the goods. Uses my van to deliver. The main challenge am currently having is additional of other goods that are in demand. These include Pampers, tissue paper and ball-pens. With a young family and being the family provider it has been a challenge to add more stock and the new goodies. But with some assistance where i can be doing partial payments i can manage.

Loan Proposal

Hi Lenders and Zidisha team, I engage in small scale wholesale of confectioneries to retail shops. Several Shops have been demanding baby diapers, tissue paper and ball pens, after a thorough research i have noted diapers are moving and profitable. A jumbo packet of 64pcs goes for $18 dollars in bulk, and selling the same to shops will be $20.5 dollars. I have space in my van for around 80 packets = 80 * $ 2.5(profit per packet)= $200 dollars profit. This is possible to sell in a week, thus possible for me to repay my loan. I request your funding lenders for my proposal. God bless
