Hey ZidishaTeam,My names are Charity Mukami Mwangi,I was born in 1975 in Nyandarua District,Kipipiri Division,at Malewa Location in Kenya.Being brought up by devoted Christians of Mr Joseph Mwangi and Mrs Patricia Mwangi,I am the 2nd born in our family of four siblings .i joined primary school in the Year 1982 in class one and completed my primary education in the Year 1989 and got my primary education certificate. In the Year 1990 I joined Nyandarua High School in form one and completed in 1993 attaining a grade of C+(plus),In the Year 1995 I joined Muranga College of Technology to pursue a course in Food & Beverage Technology, completing in june 1998.In 2005 I got married to my husband and we are blessed with two kids ,Jane aged 8 years and Brian 3years,and started operating a Posho Mill in 2006.
I am currently operating a Posho Mill in our center,I started this business with the support from my husband ,after realizing people in this area are walking for along distance to have their maize being milled for flour I saw an opportunity for business and viable one,my husband bought for me the posho mill machine after consultation that am capable of running the business on which I am the one who came up with this business idea .January 2006 is time the business opend its doors with a stock of three sacks of maize to start up the businessThe business has been and being favoured by lack of other Posho Mills around .The locals floured my business to buy maize flour and also they come with their maize, millet, sourghm to be milled for flour. The demand for flour is so high and overwhelming because of the rising population in this area.To make this demand to be sustained ,I also offer a selling point to the locals of their maize produce to my business and have this maize as my stock to mill for flour.I am so great for this venture of business ,because it has been a great help to me and my family on financial side of it and our flour comes from this posho mill. This Posho mill/business is so profitable ,because the Revenues I make on average is Ksh 47,600 per month,on this money I pay business rent Ksh 5,200 ,Electricity Ksh 3,000,Water & Security Ksh3,400,Salary Ksh 5,000 ,after meeting all this deductions I remain with Ksh 34,400 on average .The loan that Zidisha Team is to offer my business am planning to add upto my other money that I have and buy a new machine for grinding maize to make No-1 sifted maize flour, because at the moment I have only one machine for milling No-2 maize flour ,when I have this machine the sales will increase because No-1 sifted maize flour is in high demand, and when I will be milling on my business this flour ,it will sell at a reasonable price other than this moment that I have to buy this flour and sell it.It is with great humble request that this application will be approved and considered ,for the upgrading of my business.Thank you in advance to you all.
First is to thank the entire Zidisha Family to accord me this chance,This loan that Zidisha has offered to me and my business i will add up to my other money that i have and buy a new machine for grinding maize to make No 1 sifted maize flour ,because at the moment i have only one machine for milling No 2 maize flour. When i'll have this machine the sales will increase because No 1 sifted maize flour is in high demand.Thank you.
