I was brought up in a humble background at Sugutek village of Londiani Division Kipkelion district, went to Sugutek primary ,Kamungei High school in Bomet county then later joined Government Training institute for a course leads to social work, there after Join Kenya School of Government for a course in administration.I am currently a second year student at Kisii University persueng a course leads to Barchelor of arts in social work & community Development and now working as a part time lecturer in a private college NSPSI (Nishkam Saint Puran Institute) and as a small scale farmer raising university fees.
my wife is third year in the university persueng a course in Medicine.she is my inspiration when i look at her i work hard even more.
am a potato farmer .i plant potatoes approved by agricultural extension officers .i don't worry much about the market because many buys the potatoes from us farmers.my costs is
fifty thousand.i reinvest the profits .i chose this kind of business because i don't have to worry about market since am in highway and near to chepseon market and many customers buys the potatoes from us.
When I get this loan,it will help me improve on my Potato project by adding Value in the following ways;,
1. Buying of cooking oil to prepare take away chips. 22dollars
2. Electric Machine for deep frying chips. 50 dollars
3.Renting a house for the business 20 dollars
4. Business Permit 15dolars
Despite the fact that I still need 5 dollars for the permit to be complete I believe that I can manage to get from other sources. Having been in the business for the past 2 years i have been longing to be adding value to the potatoes by making Chips, Potato crisps and all the potato products. with the fact that I have the raw materials. The returns will then help expand my farm by increasing the number of acreage and also employ a few people.
I should feel i should be supported because I can't afford single handedly to meet full financial requirements of the farm due to the increased costs of farm inputs like fertilizers, seeds and pesticides and insuring the crops.
