About Me

My name is Lydia Mwakwida, I am a business lady married with 3 children. I hail from coastal region of Kenya. I did both primary and secondary Education in Coast region. My father before his demise was a business man. He introduced me greatly to business as I was her favorite daughter. He had a registered business and a farm. In my teen years I would accompany him when he does direct sales hence my learning in interpersonal relationship with clients. I did my college training in Nairobi where I got married, me and my husband later agreed that as a couple we should not go for formal employment. That is about 14 years ago I have been in running our family business. My business started small with little support from members of family. The business has had its shares of trouble like wrong partnership, business doors closed because of rent problems but we thank God we have overcome all

My Business

I operate a cyber cafe as the main business, the activities include printing, browsing, Photocopying, scanning, Internet services. Others side activities are selling popcorn, selling exercise books. My typical costs are rental, my assistant wages and cost of buying stocks. The proceeds from the business I use in paying school fees, my rental house and supporting my extended family

Project Proposal

The disbursed funds will be used to buy one more computer in the cyber, at the moment am running short of computers for browsing, two computers were lent to my shop the owner is supposed to pick them and another computer awaiting repair. from the computer browsing earnings will be consistent after giving out lend computers

Initial plan was to purchase a 2 desktop computers, due to insufficient funds I diverted the loan fund to purchase of stocks; Tonners, Epson inks for sale, the proceeds from the sales are further saved and also I used for repaying the loan

Glad to know you have received it, Lydia.

Keep in mind that it can take up to two weeks for a loan to become fully funded, and then it can take up to another two weeks for Zidisha admin to send the Net Disbursement to the borrower. So, always plan for a wait of up to one month. Usually, it takes a lot less time than that, but it sometimes does take a long time. As is stated in the FAQs, unfortunately Zidisha isn't intended for time-sensitive emergency loans.

Thank you for committing to telling your two lenders on this loan what you will be using it for. Posting photos is a good idea, too. :)

Kind regards, best wishes, and please stay safe!
