About Me

I am a single, young man. I live in the outskirts of Nakuru town in an estate called KITI. I attend the African Inland Church at KITI estate.i attended Kapsabet boys high school and later joined Moi university where I pursued a degree in sociology and a diploma in information technology. I am currently self employed running a business which has been running for one year now. The business mainly deals with cyber café services and stationery. I decided to provide these services since most people do not have access to internet facilities.With the returns I make from my business I have been able to expand from having four computers to having eight computers. I am looking forward to expanding the business and have at least fifteen computers in the future for better service provision.

My Business

One year ago I established a small business where I offer internet services and stationery at my cyber café. I decided to establish the business since the majority of people in the town do not have access to internet services. I have located the business in a highly populated area where most of the people need access to internet services. This is where I get my customer base due to the frequent human traffic. I am self motivated and hardworking this is what keeps my customer base as I am dedicated to providing them with quality services. From my career subject i.e sociology and information technology I have been able to learn the needs of my customers and provide them diligently and offer a friendly price, this has enabled me to retain a big number of customers over my competitors.My business faces less or no risk since most people in the town do not have access to internet services and those that do, have limited internet access. Today Kenya has gone digital and almost all business activities and government institutions transact their businesses over the internet, therefore I have a very effective demand coupled with the ability of my consumers. Monthly am able to make approximately Ksh. 55000 while incurring an operating cost of Ksh. 95000. My expenses include:rent, electricity bill, and internet fees.

Loan Proposal

I am humbled and grateful for the loan extension that has been granted. I will use it as an additional capital to my savings to expand my business I have made from my business. I will use the loan extended to me to buy one computer, and get a better internet provider to boost the speed at which my customers browse. This will go a long way in ensuring that I attract even more customers.This will also boost the demand of my business. This season, students have closed school so they will also boost my customer base as business . University students are also doing research on their projects and assignments and they rely on the internet to get information and thus they will need my services.
