My name is Naomi. I was born in Eldoret and this is where i grew up. I went to kapsoya primary school and finished school. I later joined high school at kapsaos day school and i only attended my first year. I got pregnant and dropped out of school. I had a very very strict father who did not even think twice about me but threw me out of his house and disowned me. My mother could not say anything and i had to leave home immediately. My boyfriend also left me and denied the pregnancy. I felt all abandoned and i was pushed against the wall but i still had a little hope within me. I went to the kapsoya market and asked one woman if i could help her to sell the second hand clothes. She paid me very little money which i only bought food and saved the rest. I used to sleep on the streets. After two years of suffering i used my savings to open my own bale of baby clothes to sell. That's where my business started from. My hobby right now is praying. I really love praying because i got used to prayers when all hope was gone.
In my business i sell second hand baby clothes to people. I go to every market places in Eldoret town to sell. Each place has a different market day and so this keeps me busy throughout the week. I provide clothes for babies at a cheaper price for those people who simply love cheap and good quality items and also those who cannot afford to purchase clothes at the shops and boutiques. Clothes are always useful because they cater for the basic need of clothing. It also covers our bodies and our appearances tells more about us. Baby clothes is always in demand because women get pregnant and look for clothes for babies. Baby clothes are bought more frequently than adult clothes. I chose this business because i love children. And the situation that i went through made me to choose selling baby clothes because i know so many women go through what i went through and when i see one like that i pity with them and i sell to them at a lower price. It was also the only business that i could do with my low level education. I buy a bale at 15 us dollars and after the week sales i make 23 us dollars. I use the money to buy another bale, save some in the week, use some for food, upkeep and the next week's transport. I always save because i have a big dream of opening a big baby shop one day and be a big business woman.
I will use the loan to buy a new bale of clothes for my business. The bale will cost me 120 us dollars. These loan will help me buy the bale in addition to profits that i ahve been generating for the business.
i expect to befit from the same by making good profits. If i successfully mange to sale all te clothe bale, i will be able to make 200 us dollars. a profit of 80 us dollars
