I am a young lady aspiring to be a successful business person in future, I am the second born in our family. I live with my parents. I completed school in 2015 and was employed as an insurance agent after completing computer course. The pay was not that good and given our parent's background it will be a a struggle having them take me through a college. This has forced me to work to ensure that I will come out successful. My parents have other siblings who are still in school and I have thought of having a business of my own which will enable me earn income.
I do sell women clothes to ladies and my friends at large. i get supply form friends and then do make inquiries from my friends to see whether they can buy an then sell them at profit.
I dont have enough money to enable me hire a room from where I can operate permanently, again since I am still working I will be forced to employ somebody to take care of my business. This is the reason that my business is active on the weekends where i lay my clothes in an open space on Saturdays and Sundays and sell the clothes. Sometimes I talk to my friends and do direct selling.
Mihango centre is usually busy over the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and it’s during this time that I am off, with Saturday being the designated market day; I would wish to have additional stock so that during these days I can have more clothes to sell. Time over time I will slowly build my stock and hopefully I can be attending marker days. The loan from Zidisha is about USD 27 and if I also add my USD 25, I will have enough to take to the market. This has advantage in me since I don’t incur extra expenses e.g. transport and rent.
