About Me

My name is Nancy Saenyi. I was born in western side of Kenya. I am a single mother of 1 girl who is three years old. I was born in a farming community where every family in the area tend their small parcels of land.

I went to primary and later joined secondary school for four years. I later left home to live with my aunt in a distant town of Mombasa. While in Mombasa I enrolled to a short computer applications course. I later started doing a diploma course in Business Administration which I am still doing.

My daughter would like to become a teacher when she grows up. My hobbies are reading and traveling.

My Business

I sell clothes and ladies accessories as a side business so as to give me some income while still schooling. This business gives me about $150 per month which I use for my upkeep and send some small amount home to my parents who live with my daughter.

I sell these items from door to door and with time I have established a reliable clientele and I am hoping to build on this group to keep growing. I am planning to continue doing this business in a bigger way once I clear my studies in a few months to come.

Loan Proposal

With this first loan, I will buy a few ladies accessories such as hats and stockings. This will be an addition stock to what I have currently. I hope to sell them within a short period and make a profit which I will use to put back in the business while at the same time repaying the loan.

My aim is to continue with Zidisha for quite some time so that I benefit with bigger credit which I will use to expand my business even further.

Thank you for reading my story and loan proposal.
