About Me

I am a 31 year old procurement professional with a degree in purchasing and supply chain management. I grew up in Kiambu county and schooled in Musa gitau primary then Mutira girls in Kirinyaga county and finally in the university of Nairobi. I am passionate about entrepreneurship and therefore, apart from being employed, I have a side hustle of selling children's clothing online to earn extra income. I directly import the clothes from India and Turkey. I developed the passion of selling children's clothing from my mother who used to take me with her to work during school holidays and i would find it interesting how she would attract customers by sourcing for unique products and being extra creative in marketing.

My Business

I work as procurement officer in a members only country club and also sell children clothing online so as to generate extra income to meet my family's need. Children's clothes are in demand because of their increasing growth rate, hence the need to replace old and no longer fitting clothes. I choose to sell children's clothing because i grew up seeing my mum educate me through that hustle and i am passionate about making children look smart. I use the profits from my business to add more stock since my customers like new designs and also use some of the profits for home improvement.

Project Proposal

I will use the funds to acquire additional stocks from Turkey and India. This will benefit me in meeting my customers needs of having new items in the shop for them to buy. I expect my profit to increase by 3-4 times since this is peak season for clothing business
