About Me

My name is Regan Opere. I am a university graduate with a passion to make a difference in my community. I grew up watching most of the children in my village stopping school and getting married or getting into theft and other vices and this prompted me to come up with something that can engage the community and the country at large. I learned the art of shoemaking at an early age and I want to pass this down as a passion to assist my community members as well.

My Business

I train young men how to make shoes and then helping them set up their own workshops. The shoe industry is underexplored in Kenya and the larger African continent, especially, handcrafted shoes are not readily available to meet the market demand. from as little as $8 one is able to make a good shoe which sells at over $14.
Hopefully, from the profits, I will be able to plow back to the business and help the young youths have sources of income to support their families as well.

Loan Proposal

I will use the $30 to fund the next training seminar for the shoemaking project. I expect the students to grasp the training and start making products to raise capital for the business as well as their families.
