About Me

I was born in the year 1974 in Nakuru District ,went to school at Ngarua which is in Laikipia District.Am Married to Mr Samuel Kariuki in the year 1993 and we are blessed with 4 children of whom three are in school,one at secondary school form three,the other two at primary school one class eight while the other in nursery .Currently am an employee of a flower farm called Color crops and at the same time i do farming in my 3quarter farm where do farming of crops,sheeps and chicken.With i being an employee and at the same time a farmer i am able to manage my home with this earnings thus easing the demands at home and in school fees whereby we help each other with my husband who also is an employee of another flower farm by the name Morop flowers.Being on advantage with this big size of land my grazing of sheep has earned me well as the selling price of one sheep goes for 5000.For now i have twelve of them planing to increase them.With the maize plantation which i farm in two acres and a half am able to harvest at least 60bags with one bag selling at a cost of 2300 so in a good year am able to have 138000 after the deduction of the fertilizer,machinery bags and labor am left with at least 80000 which i term it as a cool profit within one year.

My Business

The business ranging from crop farming to sheep rearing and chicken am able to do good in this business taking advantage of the big shamba i owns maximizing it to bring good returns.With this chicken well as they are not the grade type most people prefer them for meat and for eggs.Their advantage over the other ones is that they feed mostly on their own,roaming by themselves this makes their meat more sweet with their eggs termed to be of more nutritious than the grade ones.With more birds that i have kept a tray which consist of 30 eggs goes for 450 beating the grade ones that sell for 300 and their market has a big demand over the others.Come to sheep grazing a sheep sells at 5000 at our local butchery with then i have no burden with fee and home chores and as i have seen it to be a good business my plan is to improve on the chicken and the sheep to make it a serious business I ts only a finance problem that is required to take this project further and to make a big reputable name within and out the locality.Am also privileged to make it good with plantation of maize which i do as a commercial business a bag selling at 2300,with the two Hectares am able to harvest 60 bags at the end of the year after the total eduction am left with a good figure.If only i get some favor from your firm i will be much thankful

Am grateful that effectually you have approved me in you membership list in this time as for sure the season in the country is whereby everybody is in the shamba planting in this rainy season.Having bought seeds and fertilizer this cash will be of much help in labor and preparation for an extension.
