About Me

I was born in kapsara village in Kitale County, in a family of five. My father is a teacher in a government school and my mother is a business woman attended kapsara primary school and later joined kitale secondary school. Am an Advanced level student from Tororo girls academy, a holder of Bachelor of Arts from Makerere University and a certificate holder of Information Technology. Currently am working as junior supervisor in kinaba evans group of business situated in Nakuru and Nyahururu town. Am single lady I attend AIC church in JB teachers. I engage in bead work most of my time of my off shifts

My Business

I started my business while I was in campus four years ago; I have been making beads that are necklaces, rings, ear rings, bungles, pulses and hand bags. I buy raw materials from Kampala and Masai market in Nairobi Kenya. This business has a very high demand especially the young people and the inhabitants of big towns in Kenya. I don’t not operate a fixed shop because my customers are widely spread in Kenya towns such Nairobi Masai market and Ngala market where I normally sell my products during market days I also sell my products to hawkers in Nakuru who are so many. At the moment I have not been able to satisfy my customers due to inadequate funds to hire workers to make beads. I have a high number of customers over my competitors due to the uniqueness of my beads and also I use very genuine materials to make them. If I get zidisha loan which is very friendly and fair I will be able to start hiring women with skills and increase my output. In a month I use approximately KES 40,000 and make sales of approximately KES80,000

Loan Proposal

Am so grateful to zidisha, lenders and Mr. Sammy Njuguna for the great help offered to me. I invested my first loan wisely. I will use my first loan to further expand my business more by buying more beads and different types to meet the demands of my increasing customers. I will use the cash as an additional capital to buy beads from Kampala where there are many varieties. We are heading to a peak season that’s December holiday where the demand of beads work is very high especially when learning institution closes early November.

    Hello Ruth,
How are you doing? I think you should reschedule so that you don't loose your repayment record. When do you think you can start repaying?
    Best regards, Pavane

Thank you my dear lenders for your assistance and communication. I did invite Michael Wanderi his loan was fully funded but disbursement was not done. This was due to mismatch of name on Mpesa, during registration of his Sim card he used his wife ID card, at that time he had lost his ID, he is one guy every body would trus. He registered his line newly with his ID.

    Best wishes

    Dear lenders
Am very grateful and short of words to express my gratitude for your continuous financial support to my business. My business is doing very good. This festive season I have been able to have a very large sales volume in my life. I will be able to repay back my loan dues by 5th January 2014. I will there after apply for a new loan which I will use it as an additional capital to purchase more beads. I have a cousin who travels to china and Dubai to purchase his stock, he offered to purchase beads for my business, which is far much cheaper than in Kenya. I will use this great opportunity to increase my profit margin. When I purchase the beads I will immediately start beads making in preparation for the on coming of the Makerere University bursar early February 2014. University bur gives very large markets for my products because of the large number of young people in the university

    Dear zidisha team
How are you doing? It’s with a lot of pleasure that I extend my gratitude’s to the zidisha team and Mr. Njuguna Sammy VM Nakuru for you financial support and the endless tireless efforts of Mr. Sammy.
On 16th November 2013 I travelled to Kampala Uganda to supply beads and make purchases, I was late to comeback and make my deposits on 18th November. I decided to reschedule my loan payment not because I did not have money but I never wanted to loose my on time repayment rate which has been a 100%. Upon rescheduling the loan and paying my dues on 30th the same month, I noted that I lost my on time repayment rate to 80% and my loan size decreased to a very low amount.
Since then I have been contacting Sammy and nothing has been done to my case. He told me that there was a bug in the systems which was being repaired, am worried since its coming to a month now. Actually am eagerly waiting for my problem to be rectified so that I can clear my loan. Kindly help me.
    best regards

    dear lenders,
i feel apologetic since i was not able to pay on 16th November my loan, this was because i was not in the country. i rescheduled my loan to pay in December 17th and i will be able to pay over 50% of my full loan. my business is doing very well and i believe it will be much better this festive season. am very happy because your financial support has made me see my dream coming true, your interest rates are the best and i forgot completely about the financial institution, i hope my second loan will increase to a double amount, this will enable me to expand my business much bigger. i want to acquire a shop in Nakuru town next year.
    best regards
