About Me

My names are leah wanja, female wife and a mother of two girls, I live in Nakuru, Rift valley province, kenya. After I finished my diploma in marketing I was employed in a supermarket called Ukwala supermarket Nakuru where I worked as an employee for three years. I later opened my own business because the salary that I was getting was minimum and I was not able to cater for my own basic needs and pay school fess to my childrens.I rented a room and bought new clothes and other outfits with the slavings I had from the supermarket.

My Business

My business primarily sales outfits like men clothes, women clothes, cosmetics and other services. The demand is very high because ladies like fashion and they want to look smart every day, this makes me to ensure that I have the best outfits to my customers.Selling price of cloths to my customer is standard,I listen to my customer needs, offer them with the best quality of clothes, welcome them again after purchasing cloths. The job is profitable because I have been doing it for the last five years.Risk that I encounter are the room that I use is small, high price of goods I that buy.Monthly cost is 20,000,

my name is Roberta Zenere and I am a Kenya Country Liaison Intern at Zidisha. Within this role, I am coordinating the Zidisha's MPESA team, responsible for processing loan repayments and disbursements.

Today, while reviewing our accounts, I noticed that a loan repayment of 1,000 KES (approximately 12 USD) sent by Ms Wanja on August, 24 was not registered in her repayment schedule which has now been updated accordingly. This means that Ms Wanjahas never missed to repay her monthly installments and, as you can see, she is very committed in repaying her loan.

Ms Wanja, we are sorry for this inconvenience and we wish you all the best with your clothes-selling!

    Best regards,

    Roberta

    Dear Leah Wanja,
Congratulations on making your first payment on your loan. It is very much appreciated.
Repayment money goes to fund new loans through Zidisha, so I appreciate your payment.

When you have a moment please post something about your clothing business. I would like to hear about how it's going.
    Sincerely,
    marvin

Sverre -- it's a little early to ask about repayment, given the automatic grace period and the disbursement 17 June.
