My names are Phylis Njeri I was born in Nyeri County. I am born in a family of five three girls and two boys. My parents are farmers and the grow coffee a cash crop in Kenya. My parents are great farmer and I have seen them farming through out their lives. I have also admired their hard work and it moved me to start my own business and work hard as they always do. I went to school at Miyumireries Primary school and later joined Nyeri high school. I passed my exam with an average grade and I though of starting a business to assist my mum in paying for my other sibling school fees being the first born in a family of three.
My parents have been farming all through and I saw them struggled to pay for our school fees and I decided to start a business so that I can earn some icome and cheap in assisting them pay fees for my other siblings. I started making tea and selling it to staff in offices I did this business for two years and after saving enough I stated cooking lunch packing and taking it to offices this business boomed and after saving enough I introduced another business of selling clothes but still maintained the one of cooking. This cooking business have been good and I have been planning to start a hotel after getting this loan I will set up a hotel.
Am very happy to have reached this stage and i do appreciate entire Zidisha team for their wonderful job. I am planning to start a hotel with this loan. I have been supplying food to offices but with this loan my work will be easy since customer will be coming to my hotel and have their lunch there comfortably. Thanks again and may god bless you as you continue doing good work to the community.
