My names are John Njau, male, husband and a father of two sons, I live in Njoro,Rift Valley Province, kenya. After I completed form four I started farming Crops like maize, beans and peans. This is where I got my experince of starting a gocery in town.I started a grocery because I wanted to help my younger brothers in schooling and also educate my two sons. Also the revenue that I was getting was not enough to cater for my basic needs.I pay school fess both my sons and my brothers since my parents are not capable.
I have a business of grocery that is primarily selling of fruits, vegetables, milk and eggs. They have a great demand because people want to eat healthy everyday and improve their healthy lifestyle.Risks that I encounter are;lack of enough space to cater for my customers, high buying price of goods that I buy and sell them.My customers prefer my business to the competition because I listen their needs,am always clean, have curtsey. The business is profitable because I have been doing it for the last four years.Risks that I encounter are; lack of enough space to cater to my customers, lack of enough stoke, lack of refrigerators to keep perishable goods e.g. milk other fruits.Monthly cost is 20,000 and a profit of 10,000.
Am very thankful to all the zidisha staffs and the zidisha lenders for accepting loan application and I praying the Almighty God to bless Zidisha organisation. After getting the loan I wish expand and improve my business, create a better environment to customers by adding more varieties in my business so that I can attract more customers and it will also help me to improve my living standard.
