About Me

My name is simion kiplimo kemei. I was born and raised in eldoret, in a village called chepkoilel. I went to a nearby primary school called Chepkoilel primary school where i passed after the standard 8 and i was then admitted at Uasin gishu secondary school and i completed my secondary education. I was not able to join the university because i did not have money for my admission and my school fees. I was born in a family of four that is mother, father and two children. I have only one brother. My father died when i was 14 years old leaving behind the three of us. My mother is a tailor and she has struggled to pay our school fees until when i finished my secondary education and i was not able to continue because she could not afford that much money. I became interested in tailoring way back when i was young and that passion led me to study home science as my favorite subject both in primary and high school. I was very skilled in making clothes and sewing them. I enjoyed every laundry lesson that i undertook and this made me to be the best student in home science in all the exams. When i lacked money for my college fees i immediately joined my mother in her tailoring business. I have been working , assisting my mother in her shop for five years now and i have saved a lot and managed to start my own tailoring shop at a different location from my mothers shop

My Business

i offer production of clothes. I make clothes for both men, women and also children. This services are as follows; i make suits for the men, women, dress for women and ladies and also uniforms for students and pupils. I also do repair of torn clothes.
This services are useful because for example nobody can walk with a torn clothe therefore i repair them and make the owner comfortable dressing in the same. I also make unique products for example i make designer suits that attracts a lot of customers particularly the youths and because of this my business is on demand.
I chose this business because having been raised by a tailor, i developed some interest towards clothe production and when i lacked the funds to go to the university i decided to venture into this business.
my business is still young and is growing gradually therefore the profits that i make is always directed to my savings and acquiring of new equipment and machines. Foe example at the moment i have made savings that i want to use to buy an automatic sewing machine.

Loan Proposal

Thank you once more for giving me an opportunity to write to you lenders. With a loan of 260 Us dollars, i will use the money to buy a sewing machine that goes for 500 Us dollars. I will thereby make an addition of 240 Us dollars to the loan and make this purchase possible.
I will benefit from this because with the automatic machine, i can be in a position to make a lot of clothes and thereby meeting my targets and satisfying my customers. The machine that i am currently using though it has really helped me its is quite slow because you have to pedal to rotate.
I believe that my profits can make an increase by almost 50 Us dollars per day. This will enable me grow financially and also i will be in a great position to pay back the loan and advance a second one.

Through a family member of mr Kiplimo, it's been noted that he closed down his business but we are still putting in more effort to catch up with him so that he might be able to give us a way forward.
