I am Veterinary Doctor, based at Molo Nakuru county in Kenya. I Do field practice which includes but not limited to disease control, animal breeding, educating farmers on animal nutrition and animal production using modern methods. I also own an aggro-vet which we run together with my wife who is also an animal health assistant.
My source of income is from the field practice and sales from the aggro vet business. During my field practice i use the commodities fro my aggro vet, i also take it as an opportunity to market and promote the goods in my shop. The commodities i sell include animal feeds, animal medicines like dewormers, acaricides, mineral salts, fertilizers, aggro chemicals, fungicides, pesticides and foliar feeds, the sales of these commodities makes about 70% of my revenue, while 30% is from the services i Offer like AI, animal treatment and extension services. Molo sub-county is on Kenya highlands, and the area receives high rainfall throughout the year, making this place suitable for agriculture and dairy farming. This makes aggro vet shop a good business to venture into. I re- invest the profit that i get from the business because i want it to grow and increase the revenue. I chose this business because of my training background, as a vet I'm well versed in animal rearing and best animal products to use.
I want to add stock to my agrovet, I will add animal feeds and animal medicines, this will very helpful to the farmers i serve, for everything will be available in my shop.
I will start with 10 pieces of acaricides which cost 0.5 $ each.
