About Me

My names are Jacinta Mutanu Musau and I am 46 years old. I live in Kenya. I am married with 2 children. My first born is 24 years old and working, and my second is 6 years old; he is in class one. I was born in Nairobi and went to my primary and secondary school in the Rift Valley. After finishing school, I did accounting and computer engineering. I have traveled wide in Europe and Africa. I currently live in Ruai in Nairobi.

My Business

I was employed for a number of years, but when I became sick I decided to start my own business. Currently, I teach computer packages to people joining university and people without prior knowledge who need advancement. I also sell packaging papers to shop owners in my neighborhood.

My typical costs are electricity bills and traveling. It my wish to expand my business and hopefully start a cybercafe and computer workshop where I will be able to repair people's computers. My revenue is on average KES 20,000 ($194 USD) per month. My profits normally go to school fees, clothing, shelter and maintenance and also reinvesting back.

The previous story was my story years back. Currently, I operate a shop whereby I sell plastic bags and operate M-Pesa services. It is a new business and at the moment everything is as I had envisioned. My dream is to be able to sustain myself and expand and open another shop.

Loan Proposal

My loan will used basically to expand my business,i will buy a second hand computer so as to have my students come to my house instead of me going to then thus reducing cost and time. I will also be able to buy for stock (packing papers) and i know it will be cheaper for me because they will cost less when i buy in bulk.
