About Me

Am a christian lady aged 33 years,a tenth born in a family of eleven, i started my nursery school at the age of six for eight years and finished my primary education in 1993 at Kiganjo primary school. I later joined Karoti girls high school for my secondary education where i attained a C plain for my O level exams in 1997.I later joined government training institute for a diploma in social work. I have a certificate in computer application and basic in accounting. I have worked as a credit officer in a local bank and an accounts clerk in a daily company before engaging in self employment. Am a mother of one girl aged 12years, now in standard seven at St. Francis of Assiss Nakuru, I operate a three wheeler taxi in Nakuru town and also have a small studio shop in Nakuru along Gusii road, next to vet crop agrovet. I live in Nakuru white house estate plot 19 Kiti.

Am social and out going character, love socializing my hobbies include swimming, surfing on the net, reading and travelling.

My Business

I operate a three wheeler taxi in Nakuru town and also a studio shop along Gusii road near vet crop agrovet . I ve been in the three wheeler taxi business since 2009, when i bought the first taxi which was a second hand i being the second buyer in June of 2009.In 2010 i bought a second one through my saving and a loan i had acquired from my bank Family bank Kenyatta Avenue branch in Nakuru of 200,000. I however sold both of them in early 2011 and bought a new one in April 2011 which i operate to date.

Three wheeler taxi is preferred in Nakuru as it is cheaper mode of transport compared to the four wheeler taxes, its convenient as it is door to door transport unlike the public transport. The taxi repair and maintenance is less compared to the other four wheel taxi, the spares are cheap and locally available.

The cost of operation on a monthly basis is around five thousand, (parking fee of one thousand and a monthly car service of around two thousand) with daily income of a thousand, my monthly profit is therefore between 20.000-25,000 form the taxi business.

I later last year bough a photo printer as the cost of 60,000, form my saving and started a small studio where i pay a rent of four thousand. my monthly income is not steady from this business but it ranges from ten to fifteen thousand on monthly basis.

Loan Proposal

As i had latter indicated on my profile on the taxi and studio works on car the cost of operation on a monthly basis is around five thousand, (parking fee of one thousand and a monthly car service of around two thousand) with daily income of a thousand, my monthly profit is therefore between 20.000-25,000 form the taxi business.

I later last year bought a photo printer at the cost of 60,000, form my saving and started a small studio where i pay a rent of four thousand. my monthly income is not steady from this business but it ranges from ten to fifteen thousand on monthly basis.
With the studio work picking steadily this money will help me to buy some printing papers for use in my studio and others making a sale at wholesale and retail, with this am sure of attracting more customers and it in wholesale will market the business that i do undertake

    Hi lenders,
I feel sorry for my delayed payments because of challenges which I could not avoid.
I am getting back on my feet and hopefully things shall go well.
I have met with my V.M Victor Odera and he has guided me a lot especially in retrieving back my password which I forgot long ago.
Unfortunately, I could not reschedule the loan so that I start afresh.I now plan to submit some payments today to start with.
Thanks for your patience and earlier confidence in me.
    Happy New Year.
    Regards
    Esther Ngumbi.

    Hi to zidisha lenders,
I have tried severally to meet Esther for assistance and guidance but she never appear after booking an appointment.
I have given her notice to get back to me today for way forward before striking next step of action.
She sounded cooperant but her action was otherwise.
I believe she will come for guidance on what she should do.
    Regards zidisha V.M

    Dear Lenders,
This is Analin Saturria McGregor, Communications Associate at Zidisha.
This weekend, our Volunteer Mentor Sammy Njuguna paid a visit to Esther at her home. Esther has been on maternity leave. As a consequence, she's had to delegate the running of her businesses to other people, who, as she expresses, have not performed to her expectations. These challenges have not bittered Esther, however. Mr. Njuguna relates to us that he found her in very good spirits and both she and her baby are in good health. She plans on getting back to work next week.
Here is a picture of her and her baby! Thanks to Esther and Sammy Njuguna for sharing this with us!
