About Me

thank you lenders for giving me the opportunity to get credit from you. Since I left high school I went into casual jobs. Two years ago I started selling charcoal in my neighbourhood. In my neighbourhood there was a very high demand for charcoal as prices for kerosene and cooking gas had started to skyrocket. People were really looking for quality charcoal as most suppliers were unscripulous and were selling low quality charcoal with a lot of waste. I managed to get a good supplier who would even get me good quality charcoal on time and this made my customers happy, come for more and even refero other customers. I plan to increase more stock with the funds that I will receive from you so that during the rainy season I am not forced to buy at very high prices and also to cushion my customers from the same.

My Business

As I have stated, my business involves selling charcaol to my customers. Customers prefer my business to competition because I source for quality charcoal without waste. There is very high demand for charcoal in the area I come from. This is primarily because most people in the area are casual labourers who survive on hand to mouth. Prices of cooking gas and kerosene is out of reach for most of them. The business if profitable especially when you purchase large stocks at low prices and sell the same at retail prices. The business suffers loss especially during the wet seasons because it is hard to burn charcoal. Massive deforestation without afforestation is another risk my business faces. However, I plan in the long term to purchase fully grown trees at low prices, burn my own charcoal and then bring to the market and sell at retail prices. At retail prices I will be able to fetch more profits. I earn between three hundred and five hundred shillings daily. My expenses include house rent for 3,000/=, travel expenses 2,000/= and municipal charges 360/= per month. I make around 9,000/= per month.
