Am a second born to both late parents Mr David Andivah Keya and Mrs Leah Muhonja Andivah of Madzuu Village, Madzuu Sub-Location, Vihiga Division of Vihiga County in the Western Kenya.
I started my Primary School in the famous Mdzuu Primary the year 1976 (Class One) to 1983 (Class Seven) where I sat for my Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). I later on joined Vigina Secondary School in Form One the year 1984 AND proceeded to form Four where I sat for the Kenya Certifivcate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
As I had passion in the hotel industry, I joined The Norfok Hotel as part time employeee as I ensued my career in the Capacity of a waiter at th Utali College. I managed to be employed as full time employee at the same hotel and was later to quit looking for greener pastures and was luky to be empolyed by The City Hall Hotel being under the management of the Kenya Local Authority.
Facing hardship in being employed, I opted to be Self Employed as a Farmer since while in school, I did pure Agriculture hence had enough knowledge n the same. Am currently rearing rabbits and Guinea Pigs and wold like to upgrade if given opportunity.
Am married to one beautiful lady M/s Janet Mbwanga blessed with Five kids
As with vast information in Agriculture, I was of an idea to venture in big farming but was challenged of the small piece of land I have hence settled on Rabbit and Guinea Pigs as hey occupy small space yet the returns are huge, market has minimal competition and the feeds are cheap and available.
Since 2004, I supply the rabbits to an Agriculture group known as 4K club which transport them to semi arid area for the same mode of farming but specifically to young farmers.
The Guinea Pigs are sold to most of the Schools around for Biology classes in the field of medical research
Within your aid, I have hope that I import from other areas the varieties I don't have so that I can improve my income.
I thank you for being mindful of the less fortunate in the Society and all I can do is pray for you.
Thank you.
As the my production is very down, I intent to multiply my breeds so the I attain my targeted goal. Am thankful to entire Zidisha team who came up with this idea of minding we the less fortunate in the society.
As a rabbit farmer, I wanted to get varieties of the ones I lack on my farm whereby upon the receiving of the loan, I'll go to farmers who I know have them and at long last have them thanks to Zidisha who have come to my rescue otherwise I couldn't on my own following the responsibilities I carry.
God bless you and hopefully, I look forward to abide by what is entailed on the loan servicing hence upgrade for my future success.
Yours faithfully,
KLennedy Mbwanga Andivah
