My name is Kenneth Kipngeno from Bomet County. Am a Kenyan Citizen and being the second born in our family,my parents practice farming as their source of income,we are four children in our family,on education i have gone through primary and secondary education and i was unable to continue with college education because my parents were unable to pay for college fees and their were other two siblings who were also in school .I joined my parents in farming at my parents farm instead of staying idle .I started by planting kales and saling them to locals. My parents are strong Christian followers where we as the children we have adopted the same route and i am the Chairperson of the youths in our church where we train youths on good morals in Christianity and organize for Rallies to various Churches ,I love adventuring and meeting new friends and reading of Bible ,Magazines and Novels.
Currently I am a full time farmer ,as i have indicated above after my secondary school education i was unable to join college and started farming at my fathers farm by his consent,i started by planting of kales and selling them.Later i discovered that this area of ours the Pawpaw do very well,i approached i neighbour who was doing serious pawpaw farming at his farm ,He showed me and gave me about 20 seedlings to start with .Five of the seedlings did not mature and i was left with 15 Paw paw trees to take care of, they have matured and my first harvest was last year on June.I fetched some good money where i was able to clear the paying of the seedlings that i was given and meeting my needs ,this business /farming is so good because it is so unique and people here don;t practice it ,it has been of great help in my life since from the little I have been earning it manages to cater for my upkeep and i do also cheap in for paying of the school fees of my two sister s who are behind me, There are challenges in this business/farming due as i practice it at my fathers farm their some times i get the produce has been sold without my consent but i am now able to control it because not all tree can bear fruits at the same time and by this i am able to know which trees have the pawpaw ready to be sold ,i am now working extra hard to see that in the next two years i own a farm. I do also save some money for the better tomorrow and to meet my goals, and now that i am in Zidisha family my dreams now look more brighter .Thank so much for your kind support.
First is to thank the entire Zidisha family for the opportunity they have offered me and the lenders ,this particular loan i am going to buy Organic Fertilizer at a cost of USD 390,the fertilizer is about 15 bags of each 25kg per bag ,where one bag is USD 26 (USD 26 *15 bags =390USD)this will make the pawpaw trees to grow well and give out the good yield and healthy fruit, and the sale of pawpaw will increase translating to an increase in profit, the extra profit will go to the savings, cater for my upkeep and paying of the Bills.Thank You very much for your kind support and help as i welcome lenders to bid for my account.
