I come from the village Kijgari located at 15 km from the town Abalak. I live in Niamey in the district Quartier Chinoise. I am a jeweler in the Quartier Chinoise. I haven't attended school because my parents were nomads and illiterate. I have inherited the artisan work of my parents and my great-parents. This artisan work is my profession and it enables me to earn my living and help my family. I buy rice and 'mil' for my family, I pay also for the clothing of my family and for tea and sugar. I would like to buy the raw material that I use for my work and also some tools. Besides that I will buy food for my family, namely 'mil', rice, tea, sugar and even tobacco.
The goods of my business include ancient and modern jewelry and wooden products such as Tuareg beds, saddles for horses and camels. There is a strong demand because we offer very good services. We are known all over the world. We participate at many international fairs, which makes that our services are demanded all over the world. Clients prefer our products because they heard about them and they know that our products are from an unsurpassed quality. Our business is profitable because we have clients from Europe, the United Stated, Asia, the Arabic world and even from Africa. They sell our products at a reasonable price. Our monthly expenses are hard to know because we live from day to day. The same is true for our revenues because everything we earn we use it immediately. We are not able to save due to the situation we live in, but still we make important profits.
With the loan of Zidisha I will buy everything that I need to do my work on the market of Katako in Niamey. I will send the results of my work with my colleagues who will travel to France to sell it at a good price. This loan will allow me to organize myself and to develop my business.
